The Scale of the Universe

Last night, I happened upon a great video that details the universe from the Planck Length all the way out to the size of the known universe. The Scale of the Universe got really cool when I clicked the link and found out that all of the objects can be clicked on and learned about.

Shakespeare in the Bush

Sometimes you read something that really just shifts your perspective on life. This, here, is that something. Many take for granted, without the slightest question, your way of life, your understanding of life. Here, Laura Bohannan brings Shakepeare's Hamlet to the Bush of Africa as a bit of light reading an studying. Just before she left, her friend said this: "You Americans often have difficulty with Shakespeare. He was, after all, a very English poet, and one can easily misinterpret the universal by misunderstanding the particular."

It is a really great read, I really recommend it.

Just found this short film here, and it really resonated. I am planning on studying abroad in Brussels in year three (2014-15), and this past summer I fell in love with Europe.

Strange Maps

Wow, I am stumbling across a lot today...

Anyways, my newest find has been this: Strange Maps. Anything from the map of a "Sham Paris" to a Rock n' Roll map of Manhattan. Each map comes with a little post on its background and an explanation. Go check them out, a fun little read.
